In a unexpected partnership that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Disclosed
According to the official announcement, "A strange confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of forbidden practices and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The narrative features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret group.
The questline centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Extra Content
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana alongside several objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Latest Free Story Addition
This release also adds the game's latest complimentary story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
